Prior to their release into the retail market, they are stored in distribution outlets. The independent clothing movement began in early 1997 during Indonesia's economic crisis. These labels have attracted a new breed of young & creative local generation, fashioning an alternative clothing industry, luxurious both in quality and price. The independent clothing industry also lend their support toward the local alternative music industry, gigs, skateboards, BMX bikes and the surfing scene along with its growth.
